Accused of Firing in Jamia Minor, Wanted to Avenge Chandan, Killed during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Kasganj

NP NEWS 24 : New Delhi : Students of Jamia Millia University on Thursday took out a march against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) from Jamia to Rajghat on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. During this march, there was a stir when a youth opened fire during protest, in which a protesting student was injured. At the same time, the police arrested the youth who shot and is questioning him.

According to the information, the accused student is a minor and came out of home saying that he was going to school. According to the school certificate, the he accused has not yet completed 18 years.

The accused hails from Jewar in Greater Noida. Police is questioning him and trying to find out where and how he got the weapon. The accused is describing himself as a devotee of Ram.
