Accused flees with handcuffs after pushing policeman at Shirur police station

SHIRUR/PUNE : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | An incident of an arrested accused fleeing with handcuffs after pushing aside the policemen has taken place at Shirur police station. An FIR of molestation was registered against the accused at the Shikrapur police station and he had been arrested for the crime. (Pune Crime News)

 

The absconding accused has been identified as Dhanraj Madhukar Dongre (28), a resident of Shikrapur but hailing from Beed district. Police constable Uddhav Kondiram Bhalerao has lodged a complaint at the Shirur police station. The police have registered an FIR under section 224 of the IPC and the police are searching for the accused.

Dhanraj Dongre who is the accused in the molestation case registered at the Shikrapur police station had been arrested and brought to Shirur police station for police custody. When the police vehicle reached the premises of Shirur police station, while getting down from the vehicle, he pushed aside the policeman and disappeared. The accused is absconding with the government handcuffs and he could not be traced after night long search.

 

On Friday night at 10 pm, the complainant Bhalerao and Home Guard Punde took the accused Dhanraj Dongre for a medical check-up at the Shikrapur rural hospital on the verbal order of Santosh Shinde of Shikrapur police station. After the check-up was over, the accused was being taken in a government vehicle to the Shirur police station for keeping him in the lock-up of Shirur police station.

 

After the vehicle reached the premises of Shirur police station, the complainant was helping him to deboard the vehicle. The accused pushed him aside and ran away with the handcuffs.
