ACB books a PSI in Pimpri in Rs 3-lakh bribery case
Pimpri : NpNews24 Online – Pune Pimpri ACB Trap| The Pune Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against a Police Sub-Inspector attached with the Pimpri Police Station for demanding a bribe of Rs 3 lakh and then settling for Rs 2 lakh for not to mention a person as accused in a complaint registered at the Pimpri police station and also to convert the complaint into a civil matter. PSI Rohit Ganesh Dolas (31) is the accused. According to details, a complaint application has been filed at the Pimpri Police Station. PSI Dolas initially demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh not to accuse the cousin of the complainant to the ACB and to file the application received at the Pimpri Police Station as a civil matter. After the compromise, he agreed to take Rs 2 lakh.
As the complainant did not want to pay the bribe, he lodged a complaint with the ACB against PSI Rohit Dolas. The complaint was verified on December 2, 2022. It became clear that PSI Dolas was demanding the bribe. Later, a case was registered by the ACB.
PI Bharat Salunkhe, Sandeep Varhade, Police Constable Mukund Ayachit, Police personnel Bhushan Thakur and driver ASI Jadhav took the action under the guidance of SP Amol Tambe, Addl SP Suraj Gurav. ACB Pune officials are conducting further investigation.
