3 doctors booked under charge of ‘wrong injection’

NPnews Online Pune: An FIR has been registered against three doctors of Argade Hospital in Chakan, about 30 km from Pune, after a woman and her girl child died, post-delivery. Her family members alleged that she was administered wrong injections.

Based on complaint from Sudhir Machhindra Pawle (30) of Shikrapur, the case was registered at Chakan police station under Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissionerate.

The accused doctors are Dr Argade of Argade hospital, Dr Ghatkar of Criticare hospital and Dr Supekar.

According to police, the incident took place around 11 pm on May 9 at Criticar hospital. Pawle had admitted his wife Sapna for delivery at Argade hospital. However, after her condition deteriorated she was shifted to Criticare hospital. She delivered a still girl child. After Sapna’s condition further deteriorated, she was taken to Aditya Birla Hospital in Chinchwad. However, doctors declared her brought dead.
