24 People Associated With CM Residence in Patna Tests Corona Positive, CM Nitish Kumar’s Niece Home Quarantine

Patna : 24 people associated with the Chief Minister’s residence in Patna have been found Corona positive. A sample of about 500 people associated with CM House was taken after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s niece was found to have Coronavirus positive. Nitish Kumar’s niece was admitted in AIIMS Patna but has returned to the Chief Minister’s residence after the report came negative from another test. She will now be in home quarantine on consultation with doctors.

After the confirmation of the Chief Minister’s niece being Corona positive on Monday, she was admitted to the isolation ward of Patna Hospital. Significantly, the Chief Minister had also done his coronavirus test and his report on Saturday was negative.

JDU leader Ghulam Gaus, one of the nine newly elected members of the Bihar Legislative Council, has also been confirmed to be infected with the Coronavirus. Meanwhile, a complete lockdown has been done from July 10-16 in view of the sudden rapid increase in the cases of COVID-19 in Patna.

The order stated that markets, offices and other business activities would be prohibited during the period of lockdown in the state capital, excluding essential services. Bihar had the highest number of 749 coronavirus infections reported in a single day on Wednesday, including 235 in Patna alone.
