22 opposition parties demands verification of VVPAT slips

Npnews24 online: Opposition parties’ leader from 20 different parties comes together and submitted a memorandum before the Election Commission, requesting the verification of VVPAT slips identified at five polling stations.

Opposition also raised the demand of tallying VVPAT slips with EVM figure in an entire constituency in case a discrepancy found at any polling booth.

As per the opposition “EC should count VVPAT machine and if any discrepancy then all of them should be counted”. Gulam Nabi Azad clarified outcome post meeting.

Senior Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi said despite request to EC since months, the poll body will meet to discuss the issue.
