21-year-old girl dies by suicide after hanging herself to ceiling fan at lodge

The accused has been identified as Akshay Arun Jore, a resident of Bhekrai Nagar, Hadapsar.
The girl has been identified as Mehak Sunil Shinde (21), a resident of Kondhwa. Mahek’s mother Shobha Sunil Shinde (53), a resident of Kondhwa, has lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station. Mahek and Akshay Jore know each other.
The accused Akshay Jore had told her to marry him and sent a video of him consuming poison to Mahek’s mobile. Mahek who was worried that action may be taken against her if Akshay dies, died by suicide in room number 107 at Vijay Lodge located at Wadki from 11 pm on April 16 to 11 am on April 17 by hanging herself to a ceiling fan.
After the complainant lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station, an FIR has been registered against Akshay Jore for abetting the girl’s suicide. PSI Tarte is probing the case.
