Mumbai : Many actors and celebrities were huge fans of Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre when she stepped into the film industry. MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s name was also in this list. According to media reports, Sonali and Raj Thackeray were very much in love with each other. But due to Bal Thackeray, there was a break in the love story of both of them.

Born in Mumbai, Sonali Bendre started her career with modelling. After this she made her Bollywood debut in the year 1994 with the film ‘Aag’. In this, actor Govinda was in the lead role with her. The film did not do well but Sonali got the Filmfare Award for Best Newcomer. After this she appeared in the film ‘Diljale’ released in the year 1996. Ajay Devgan was in the lead role with her in this film. Sonali’s acting and her beauty in the film was highly praised.

Apart from films, the love life of the actress was also in the headlines. Sonali and Raj Thackeray are said to have fallen in love with each other. Both wanted to marry each other. But at that time Raj Thackeray was already married. When Bal Thackeray came to know about the love of both, he had clearly refused Raj Thackeray to marry Sonali.

There are reports that Bal Thackeray had asked Raj Thackeray to distance himself from Sonali. He explained to Raj Thackeray that it would have a bad effect on his image if he marries another woman while being married. In such a situation, it is not right to do this for the future. After which Raj Thackeray accepted the advice of Bal Thackeray and backed out of the decision of marriage with Sonali.

Sonali Bendre married film director Goldie Behl in 2002. Both also have a son. Sonali often shares her pictures with her son on social media. Apart from this, Sonali came into the limelight in the year 2018, when she informed herself about having cancer. After that, after getting treatment for months, she completely recovered from it.
