Why is BJP silent over the leaked chats of Republic TV’s Arnab Goswami?: MP Sanjay Raut
Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut has asked why the BJP government is silent over the leaked chats between Arnab Goswami and ex-BARC Chief Partho Dasgupta. Raut targeted the BJP, saying that if there was Congress or any other party government at the Centre today and if BJP was in the opposition, they would have resorted to violence. While interacting with the media, he commented on many issues such as the farmers’ movement and the fire at the Serum Institute.
Raut questioned, “If a soldier would have given out information like Arnab Goswami, he would have been court-martialled. He would have been declared a traitor. He would have been considered a threat to the security of the country. But why is BJP silent now ?”
The purported WhatsApp chats between Republic TV managing director Arnab Goswami and BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta which have been widely reported in the media alleged that Goswami knew the details of the February 2019 airstrike on a terror camp in Balakot town of Pakistan beforehand.
It is good BJP leaders filed offenses against makers of Tandav web series over its content, but they will be true men if the party registers cases against journalist Arnab Goswami who insulted martyrdom of Indian soldiers, the Shiv Sena said on Thursday.
The Shiv Sena also alleged that the media which creates ruckus even if one is found possessing 100 grams of ganja (cannabis) is not ready to hold national debate on Goswami’s alleged act of treason.
