Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel passes away
New Delhi : Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel has passed away. Ahmed Patel was infected with Corona a month ago. After this, he was undergoing treatment. Ahmed Patel’s son Faisal Patel tweeted that his father Ahmed Patel had died at 3.30 am this morning. According to the information, Ahmed Patel was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He died in this hospital.
Faisal Patel tweeted that he is announcing the sad and untimely death of his father Ahmed Patel with great sadness. Faisal Patel said that his father died at 3.30 am on the 25th. Faisal Patel said that about a month ago his father found corona positive. During treatment, many of his organs stopped working and he succumbed to multi-organ failure. Faisal Patel said that he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where he breathed his last.

Ahmed Patel, a Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat and former treasurer of the Congress Party, was admitted to the ICU of Medanta Hospital on 15 November.

Ahmed Patel, 71, has been a member of the Lok Sabha thrice and a member of the Rajya Sabha five times. In August 2018, he was appointed treasurer of the Congress Party. Ahmad Patel reached Parliament for the first time in 1977 at the age of 26 after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Bharuch. Ahmed Patel, who always did politics behind the scenes, was counted among the trusted leaders of the Congress family. He has been a Rajya Sabha MP since 1993.
