Nagpur : Ignoring the threat of corona infection, 60 to 70 people, including BJP MLAs and MPs, were arrested by the Ganeshpeth police.
Against the backdrop of success in the Bihar elections, the BJP held a rally in Ganeshpeth on Wednesday between 5 and 6 pm. Officials did not seek prior permission from the police for the event. Despite the ban on crowds, a large number of activists gathered and shouted slogans. No physical distance was followed. Taking note of this, Ganeshpeth police has registered a case against MP Vikas Mahatme, BJP city president and MLA Pravin Datke, MLA Krishna Khopde, MLA Vikas Kumbhare and 60 to 70 activists under various sections.
