Annie Murphy’s mannerisms in Schitt’s Creek are a big hit with her floppy hands and her style of saying David. In an interview she said to be ace the role of Alexis, I sat long hours on YouTube researching and watched things like the Kardashians and Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton and all of those babes and I kind of Frankensteined. Picked up the little bits and pieces of them into Alexis, particularly this way of speaking, which is so deeply lazy.
One of the things that stayed with viewers of Schitt’s Creek is how Murphy says ‘David’.
