Umar Khalid Confesses Delhi Riots Were Pre-Planned, 40 GB Data Recovered From His Mobile

New Delhi : JNU alumnus Umar Khalid played a key role in the conspiracy of the Delhi riots. The plot of the riots was prepared in a very planned manner. This is revealed in the interrogation of Omar Khalid, who was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police.

Police have sought a forensic report of Umar Khalid’s mobile and are analyzing it. 40 GB data from Umar Khalid’s mobile has been found related to the riots. Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested JNU alumnus Umar Khalid on charges of plotting riots in Delhi.

The Special Cell has taken Umar Khalid on a ten-day police remand. Police have found out in the investigation that since December 2019, Umar Khalid was involved in plotting riots in protest against CAA and NCR. When he got support from people, his encouragement increased.

Investigations have also revealed that Umar Khalid gave provocative speeches at several picketing sites in East Delhi. He provoked the protesters through his speeches. Umar Khalid was also associated with several WhatsApp groups. He was preparing the role of riots through the group.

In the supplementary charge sheet recently prepared by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, members of the ‘Pinjra Tod’ have revealed a lot about the conspiracy of Umar Khalid. In the supplementary charge sheet, the police have said that at the behest of Umar Khalid and Rahul Rai, such places were selected for picket demonstrations where there was more traffic.
