CDS Bipin Rawat To Visit Leh Today Amidst Tension With China To Take Stock Of Preparations
New Delhi : The Chief of Defense Staff, CDS General Bipin Rawat, will visit Leh today amid the ongoing tension over the LAC. Today the Chief of Defense Staff will visit Leh and take stock of the security situation along with the officers posted on the outskirts. General Rawat’s visit to Leh is coming at a time when there is tremendous tension on the LAC and the Indo-Chinese army are face to face.
Here he will also meet the injured soldiers and will take stock of the security situation with the officers of Northern Army Command and 14 Corps. Earlier Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was also supposed to go on this tour, but his visit has been postponed for now.
To reduce the tension, several rounds of talks have been held between the military officials of the two countries, but no concrete results have been achieved so far. India has understood the dangerous moves and conspiracies of China very well and hence has increased its military strength completely on LAC.
