BIG NEWS : 3 Jaish Terrorists, Including Masood Azhar’s Nephew, Killed in an Encounter in Pulwama
Srinagar : Three militants were killed in an encounter between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday. The slain terrorists are said to be associated to Jaish-e-Mohammed. A police official said that the security forces laid siege to Kangan area of Pulwama on Wednesday morning after receiving information about the presence of militants and conducted a search operation there. He said that the search operation turned into an encounter when the militants started firing on the security forces, and 3 militants were killed in retaliation.
Second Encounter in 24 hours, Total 5 Terrorists Killed
According to reports, Maulana Masood Azhar’s nephew is among the slain terrorists. Azhar’s nephew was an IED expert. Meanwhile, the internet has been shut down in the area. This is the second encounter of the security forces with the terrorists in the last 24 hours. Earlier, in Tral area of Pulwama, the security forces killed two terrorists in an encounter. A large quantity of arms and ammunition were also recovered from the spot after this encounter between security forces and militants in Tral.
2 Terrorists were Killed in Kulgam on Saturday
Earlier, two militants were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday. A police officer said that the area was cordoned off and a search operation was carried out after receiving information about the presence of militants in Vanpura area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. Seeing themselves surrounded, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which retaliation was taken. Terrorist activities have increased in the state in recent times and many terrorists have been killed by the security forces, showing promptness.
