Harishchandra Shrivardhankar, Key Witness Who Identified Ajmal Kasab, Died, Know Who was He

Mumbai : Who can forget the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. When the terrorists killed many innocents including security personnel. Harishchandra Shrivardhankar, who identified the terrorist of this attack Ajmal Kasab and who was injured with two bullets of terrorists on his back outside the Cama Hospital, died. He breathed his last at home after a long illness.

Recently Harishchandra Shrivardhankar was found lying on the sidewalk in an area of Mumbai. A few days ago Srivardhankar was admitted to a private hospital in Kalyan for treatment. Harishchandra was admitted to the hospital by Daya Gaikwad, BJP councilor from Kalyan Dombivli. Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis visited Kalyan’s Ayush Hospital to inquire about Harishchandra Shrivardhankar’s health. Fadnavis had announced Rs 10 lakh from the BJP for his treatment.

Who was Harishchandra Shrivardhankar?
Harishchandra was a government employee. He was hit on the back by two bullets in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai. He was also a witness to the 26/11 attack. Harishchandra had identified Kasab before the Special Court and testified against Kasab. He was also hit by the bullets of Kasab and his partner Abu Ismail. He had also attacked Abu Ismail with his office bag. Harishchandra was spending his day in extremely difficult conditions. He was found helpless on the sidewalk. He had not eaten for many days when he was fond on road.
